Is there a way to create an administrative Install Point with slipstreamed
SP2 and then RECREATE the compressed CD image?

Hi Volks,

If you have an Enterprise/volume license key for Office 2003 you can create an Office Admin Point as the first step in creating a
slipstream/compressed CD install base for Office 2003 and you can use the information in the previous messages in the thread you
tagged onto in the Office 2003 Resource Kit at http://microsoft.com/office/ork/2003. Basically you'd apply the SP to the Admin point
then create your image.

If you have a retail or OEM addition then there isn't an ability to set an Office Admin Point but you may want to consider a
different approach, such as putting Office and the service pack on a single source with a script or customization file that would
chain the two installs if the basic install succeeds.

Hey Bob,

I do have a volume license and already created the admin install point with
SP2 slippedstreamed into it but how do I recreate the CD image or compressed
image?
All those files on the Admin Install Point need to be turned into .cab files
right?

Only an original cd image or compressed image gets to apply the local
install source(msocache) down the the user's computer.

If you have more info on this, please let me know.
thank you.
