Office 2003 SP1 Update gets HotFix error

Sloan,

You state XP SP2 would correct the Windows Installer error. I just auto
installed SP2 and still can't get Office 2003 to update. How do I check that
Windows Installer 3.0 was installed? Will I need to run the Cleanup Utility?
(If so, where do I download it?)

I had ALL these problems & did ALL these fix it tips, MS techs couldn't even
resolve the issues over the phone & we can't uninstall Office2003 SP1! After
2 wks. of going back & forth from MS techs & HP techs & not being able to do
my presentation on Powerpoint in class, ( and I couldn't get to my Adobe w/
out my pc getting irratic) we all finally agreed that it was just best to do
a FULL System Recovery & I was so MAD!! Well now it feels so good to have my
XP up & running again & I will never accept another UPDATE from MS again,
thats what causes our computers to become UNSTABLED!! Also XP has a c.d that
corrects all the problems from SP2, but it was Office 2003 SP1 that caused
all the problems!
