Office 2003 SP2 for MUI

H

Harry

I run the "msiexec /p MUISP2-CHSff.msp /a mui.msi shortfilenames=true /qb" command again, then I saw the log file.
I found a lot of errors, following is a key error that I think,
"DEBUG: Error 2749: Transform 2TTo2U invalid for package C:\temp\5dacc6.msi. Expected product version == 11.0.6361.0, found product version 11.0.7969.0."

I guess that my mui version is high, the "SP2 For mui" that I got can't integrated to it.

How can I deal with this problem? I got the Office 2003, Office 2003 SP2, Office 2003 MUI CHS and Office 2003 SP2 For MUI CHS from MSDN, Why did I get the error?

Help me, Thanks a lot!

"Harry" <[email protected]> дÈëÏûÏ¢ÐÂÎÅ:[email protected]...
I got the "Office 2003", "Office 2003 SP2", "Office 2003 MUI CHS" and "Office 2003 SP2 for MUI CHS".

Then, I integrated the "Office 2003 SP2" to the MSI File of "Office 2003 Pro".
I used the following command:
"msiexec /p MAINSP2ff.msp /a pro11.msi /qb"
I used the "pro11.msi" file to install the office 2003.

Then I need install the MUI for CHS. I also integrated the "SP2 For MUI CHS" to the MSI file of "MUI CHS".
I used the following command:
"msiexec /p MUISP2-CHSff.msp /a mui.msi /qb"

I used the "mui.msi" file to install the MUI CHS, then I got a error, following is the content of the error.
"error 1334. the file ipmain11.aw_2052 cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'MUI 2052.cab'. this could indicate a network error, an error reading from the cd-rom, or a problem this package."

I checked the MUI2052.cab, It's directory is same to the "MUI.msi" file.

I don't know the reason why I got the error, I hope somebody would like help me.

Thanks a lot firstly!

Hi Harry,

The MS Office 2003 Professional MultiUser Interface Edition is a special one that is available only to volume licensed users of that
edition.

If you don't already have the MUI packs for particular languages included in your Office Admin point then there isn't anything to
apply the MUI updates to. For worldwide/multi-language deployment information check also the Office 2003 Resource Kit

Hi,Bob I check the mui2052.cab file, I can't find the ipmain11.aw file in
it.
then I used the iexpress to make a cab file that is added the ipmain11.aw,
but when I install the sp2 for mui chs, I got another error, it told me that
"can't find some file".
Then, I check the new mui2052.cab file, the file that can't find can find in
it.

how can I deal with the problem?

I made a admin point in the Server, I use the Setup.exe /a to make the
point.
then, I integrated the Office 2003 SP2 to the pro11.msi.
I am sure that the Office 2003 that I got from MSDN is volume lisence.

then I need to install MUI CHS and SP2 For MUI CHS. If I don't integrate the
"SP2 for MUI CHS" to the "mui.msi" I will not get the error, and the Office
2003 and MUI is good.

I is very grotesquerie.
