Office 2007 May B2

G

gliva

I've been testing (office 2007 B2) prior to the TR release. I eventually
(early Sept) upgraded to the TR release. I truly have been satisfied thus
far...

A few days ago I purchased a new laptop, and UNFORTUNATELY I've been
unsuccesful at migrating/installing Office 2007 B2TR over to the new laptop,
which BTW is currently loaded with Office 2003. As I understand it, you can
only install the B2TR release if you have an earlier Office 2007 B2 version
already installed. IS THIS CORRECT?? If so this is not the case on my new
computer. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS IN ORDER TO GET OFFICE 2007 RUNNING ON MY NEW
LAPTOP.

Thanks in advance,
Gliva

No I don't have the earlier MAY B2 download, I only kept the B2TR release
since I didn't realize this scnenario was likely. Furthermore, at the time I
wasn't planning on replacing my laptop either. AND, I must return the old
laptop to my former employer within a few days. Murphy is alive and well...

- Do you know If I uninstall my Office 2003 from my new laptop, will the
B2TR install? OR...
- Do you have a copy of the May B2 that you can send me, I have my own keys
which were assigned to me at the time! OR...
- ANY OTHER SOLUTION??

I'd try downloading it again tomorrow. Maybe it's working then (I
haven't given up hope yet...)

I do have my own copy of B2, but it is a 500 MB file. I really don't
want to be sending that around.
I am still thinking that it might come back, as the main Office preview
site is still there. I'd just check tomorrow again.

What about uninstalling Office2003 and then installing B2TR? Will it install??

Given the time it takes to uninstall and install a copy, I'd like to get as
much insight since I need to use my laptop for work and can't afford downtime.

If so this is not the case on my new
computer. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS IN ORDER TO GET OFFICE 2007 RUNNING ON MY NEW
LAPTOP.

Thanks in advance,
Gliva

What about uninstalling Office2003 and then installing B2TR? Will it install??

Given the time it takes to uninstall and install a copy, I'd like to get as
much insight since I need to use my laptop for work and can't afford downtime.

I do have my own copy of B2, but it is a 500 MB file. I really don't
want to be sending that around.
I am still thinking that it might come back, as the main Office preview
site is still there. I'd just check tomorrow again.

No. B2TR won't install without first installing B2.
