Joe Bye
I migrated to a new device after my former C: drive filled up.
The good news is that I have a pretty normal Windows system and that most
apps work normally.
Office 2003 Pro, however is dead. Trying to start Word, for instance,
generates a dialog box saying that a critical file is missing and suggesting
that I should put the setup disk in and run repair. Doing so generates
another missing file message.
Searching for these critical files on my new device, the old device and the
Office CDs finds nothing. They don't seem to exist.
Trying to remove Office from the Control Panel/Add-Remove function generates
another similar failure. I have a dead Office that I cannot remove or
replace.
Help! suggestions? Clues?
Thanks,
Joe
