If you are not the admin, then I would steet clear of the ORK.

Can you uninstall/reinstall or is that disabled for users?

After furious head scratching, Joe asked:

| Hey Milly,
|
| I'm the admin on my machine, but not the admin that put the install
| package together.
|
| I have friends at work who have installed O2k3 with no problems
| whatsoever, yet it keeps crashing every single time with me.
|
| I'm not clueless - although when it comes to the installer routines,
| I'll admit I am.
|
| My IT department, while decent, isn't going to debug this - they'll
| probably want to re-core my machine, which they don't have a coreload
| for anyway... So hopefully I will find the solution.
|
| If the office resource kit is the way to go - can you give me some
| basic pointers?
|
| Thanks :)

|| Are you the admin? If not, ask the admin for assistance since we
|| would not know what parameters your organization put into the

||
|| If you are the admin, then recheck your script using the Office
|| Resource Kit. http://office.microsoft.com/ork for your version.

Hey Milly,

I hope you are doing well.

I did install ORK and poked around (before seeing your response below), but
I guess I'd really have to spend a ton of time to understand what is going
on, and where there might be a problem.

I have full uninstall / reinstall capabilities.

I am not currently uninstalling O2k before trying to install O2k3, but
other friends who have installed 2003 did not have to uninstall 2000...

After the 2k3 install "crashes", O2k is still fully functional, and there
are no indications of 2k3 on my machine.

Thanks again :)
