Office v. X on Intel Macs ?

N

Norm

Thank you.

For this old rookie, is there a site that tells me which updates I need
to apply. My disc has 10.1.0.

When on a PPC I first applied 10.1.6 and then I believe some non-version
number updates and then 10.1.8..

At any rate the link you gave me had 10.1.9 but unless it is staring at
me I don't know what others between my disc and that update I need to
apply.

Tips very much appreciated.

Thank you.

AFAIK, 10.1.9 is a combo update, which means that you do not need to install
any of the earlier updates; just install this one, and you'll have the
latest version of Office v.X.

At any rate the link you gave me had 10.1.9 but unless it is staring at
me I don't know what others between my disc and that update I need to
apply.

Thank you.

I had understood that I did need to apply all the updates (I think there
were 4 or 5) but maybe I was reading a post/information regarding
10.1.8. And if so, perhaps 10.1.9 is the first combo update.

I'll proceed.

I wish there was a MS site that listed all updates for a specific
release. But I gather such an animal does not exist.

Thanks for the help.

Hi Norm -

Both you & Michel are correct in your interpretations... 10.1.8 was an
interim update which needed to have the preceding interim updates applied in
sequence before it could be installed. However, 10.1.9 is a Combo update
which includes all prior interim updates so they don't have to be installed
individually. If you look at the OVERVIEW section of the page I gave you the
link to you'll see the following:

" In addition, this update includes all of the improvements released in all
previous Office v. X updates."
