Outlook Connector reports "connecting" but does not connect

I have been fighting this issue the same as all of you. I have the Outlook
live subscription paying $60 a year. If I can receive my email in Outlook
or
get any support from microsoft I guess I am going to have to cancel my
service. This sucks, you pay for something and have to go over a month
with
no resolution, no way to contact support, sad..sad..sad..

Did you contact MSN or Microsoft? Posting here doesn't constitute open a
support incident.

The group I was able to get through to was Windows Live Hotmail Technical
Support. I got a next day response, gave me a link to contact the outlook
connector group but the product ID does not let me get through.

Did you let the Hotmail team know that? I think, since you pay for the
service, you still need to pursue it that way.

I told them but like I said before they gave me a link to connector support
and I could not get through with the product ID associated with the connect
12.1 beta.

I am at loss of how to get any support outside of this community. I have
done searches online and have not came up with a solution.

I thought about calling but I am not paying for a phone call when I already
pay for the service, and chat and email is supposed to be free.

I could not agree more. I am aggravated that it's taking me days and days
and hours and hours to get to the bottom of this after I already pay the
subscription fee. The next message says that this doesn't constitute a
complaint. I wouldn't have a clue how to jump through those hoops, too. I
feel like a doggone circus clown jumping through hoops. GEEZ

I came to realized that one of the issues came to be was PGP software loaded
on my computer was preventing this from working. I had to stop that program
from loading at boot and start the service once I opened outlook.

I got tired of doing all of that and just removed the PGP program from my
computer.
Although I am not as secure as I was before, my outlook works.

I can neither receive or send. This is the most frustrating thing in the
world. I can sync my calendar, contacts, notes with my smartphone but I have
to go to hotmail for my emaiol.Does msift ever admit they have a proble?????

Didn't work for me, but then perhaps I'm having a moment....

I've deleted and installed the latest and greatest, but I get this on the
Hotmail receiving end:

Task '(e-mail address removed): Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported
error (0x800CCCF7) : 'To use Microsoft Windows Live Mail account in Outlook,
you must install the most recent version of the Microsoft Office Outlook
Connector for Live Mail. The server responded 'This operation is not
permitted for this type of client.'. '

The ironic thing is I can send/receive just fine with Verizon - I mean, if
MS wants to play it that way....

After spending six months searching on the web - I read this thread and saw
the mention of PGP software. As soon as I stopped all PGP services and
restarted outlook - the connector downloade the emails !!!

My problem is that intially the connector worked fine for two days, Now I am
getting a response that 'the operaion cannot be performed because the
connection to the server is offline. Funnily enough, the menu shows it is
online.
