Sorry, no progress. Hardware acceleration reduce no effect, all
mentioned
drivers are certified by MS and updated.

You might try changing hardware acceleration. Not sure it will help,
but
it
won't hurt.

You also should make sure you're running an updated, certified video
driver.
I'll assume you already tried the printer driver as suggested earlier.

I tried several times diagnose tool (after re-installing Office) -
everytime
all 6 tests passed OK. I run OS (W XP MCE) in diagnostic mode (only
essential
services) and the crash did not appear. When I run OS in selective
mode
only
with Microsoft services the crahs was back again. There is probably
conflict
between one of the service and PPT.

I would try running a repair. Hit the Office button | PPT Options |
Resources | Diagnose.

If that doesn't do it, then make sure you have a certified printer
driver
installed and set as the default printer. Here's a list of them:

Yes, I had - Google Desktop Search - I disabled it - no progress, than I
uninstalled Google Desktop Search - which resulted that the add-in was
completly removed from the list - but unfortunately the crash is still here.

Hi,
I have found the reason of the problem. You were very close - the problem is
default printer and probably MS service "Print Spooler". I have installed 1
HW printer HP Photosmart 8200 Series and 3 virtual printers (like pdf...)
When HP is set as the default printer and Print Spooler is on, the mistake in
PPT will appear. When Print Spooler is off the mistake will not appear, or
when any of virtual printer is set as the default and Print Spooler is on,
the mistake will not appear. I completly re-installed HP 8200, updated SW,
but the problem is still here, when it is set as the default printer. So I
problably know reason, but do not know any convenient solution. To set
virtual printer as default is not too convenient for me. Any idea please?

I just wanted to say thank you very much for all your posts -- especially the last one that explains the default printer issue -- after hundreds of crashes in a row -- I changed my default print to PDF, and BAM! -- Never crashed again. Thank you thank you thank you... Now, I hope MS addresses this.
