PPT VBA - Clicking on non-existent textbox?

Having heard of it is about all I can lay claim to.

Welcome to the Zimmer club.
[If he fesses to that, he's older than he looks, folks]

I remember Adam as a lad, right terror - always sneaking into the orchard.
Bit off more than he could chew tho'.

Hi Kathy,
(After all, if I could...)

What's this? Modesty?
I would have thought a lady with your obvious charm, subtlety, intelligence
and other assets, (can I stop yet?), would have been proudly proclaiming
from the highest rooftops.
And modesty as well - a virtue greatly admired so they say.

So where were we?

Oh yes, I've just realised that OO is in Pooh Bear. What a coincidence eh?
The conspiracy is lent another hand.
Do you reckon PB could be part of the group monitoring the take-up of oo by
the masses? A sort of litmus test forum with Christopher Robin being a
pseudonym for He Who Wants To Control Everything In The Forest, known to his
friends as... Bill.

I think we're on (to) something here.

You got straps around the back of your jacket as well?

I thought mine were designer.

I was born with it. But since I'm the only Aussie here, at least my jacket
is the right way up! <vbg>.

Ah, another one who's realism is a matter of perspective.

Welcome to your world.

Through all the puns, I've lost track of this. Is the problem solved? If
not, did you try Steve's GotoSlide solution (jumping to the same slide
you are on)? Two more questions:

(1) Are you using a Mac or Windows?
(2) Do you have any animated GIFs on the slide?
(3) There is no question 3.

Right now, I think he is an Aussie at home, asleep. But for the last week of
September and the first week of October, he will be an Aussie abroad in San
Diego and then Seattle. You should look into joining us in San Diego. Little
thing called PPT Live (www.PPTLive.com). I believe you would fit in fairly
well :)

Hi David,
Through all the puns, I've lost track of this. Is the problem solved?

Not as yet but I can scrap all the 'fixes' I've done and make a fresh start
with all the new information.
I'll post when I have a known fix [or get stuck again ;-)].
(1) Are you using a Mac or Windows?

My apologies for not providing this information.
Windows XP Pro (all service packs)
Office 2003 (all service packs)
(2) Do you have any animated GIFs on the slide?

There are a number of png files, oodles of custom animation but no animated
gifs. Sorry if this has destroyed a theory.
(3) There is no question 3.

That's a coincidence 'cos there's no third answer either. Strange.

Incidently, not only have I recreated the 'problem' on the original
presentation but also replicated it on another presentation specifically for
that purpose.
Steps:
1. On blank presentation, insert 2 png files and 2 small text boxes(with
"More") and 2 larger text boxes(with anything).
2. Put the 2 small text boxes on top of one another so they always appear in
the same position on the slide.
3. On each large textbox make a custom animation entrance (fade in)
triggered by onClick of the corresponding small text box.
4. On each large text box make a custom animation exit (disappear) triggered
by the onClick of the non-corresponding small text box.
5. On each small text box make a custom animation entrance (fade in)
triggered by onClick of the corresponding png file.
6. On each small text box make a custom animation exit (disappear) triggered
by the onClick of the non-corresponding png file.
7. Run the show
i) only the 2 png files should show
ii) click on one of the png files and one small textbox should fade-in.
iii) click on the small text box and the large text box should fade-in
iv) click on the other png file and the original small text box should
disappear and the other should fade-in
v) click on the small text box and the large text box should disappear
and the other should fade-in
When you click on either of the small textboxes look closely at where the
cursor changes to a hand. On one of them the cursor will change over the
whole textbox and on the other it will change only around the textbox edge.

It does for me anyway.

Hi,

Having never looked into it I was wondering about the mvp setup and whether
you were all working out of the same pen as well as off the same hymn sheet.
Hence my question to Glen.
As it happens, while I was waiting for a reply I chanced upon the MS MVP
site and subsequently the Altman site and found out everything I needed to
know there including the photos from PPTLive (giggle).

Hi Steve,
I mean, he's not going to turn into a Frenchman just because he visits
Brisbane
or Stuttgart.

Is he?
Mmmm, which one shall I use?

"When in Rome..." or
"Wherever I lay my hat..." or
"Each to his own"

Given 3 shovels you can take your pick.

Hi Steve,
Ecclesiastes: To everything, Turing, Turing, Turing ....

Pete Seeger never sang it so well. I can hear the dulcet tones.
I myself occupy a small piece of high

High memory, those were the days (my friend).
We thought they'd never end.
All I get now is low memory warning signals, also known as senior moments.

Steve,

I particularly don't expect to turn into a Frenchman just by visiting
Stuttgart! Paris, maybe <g>.
