Good morning David
Glad you now understand how I have been working in Pub 2000.
I know this does not work in Pub 2003 and have infact removed it in case it
was the problem blocking Pub 2000,

I appricate all your advise and time - its good to know there are people
still out there willing to help.

I have decided to do a complete reinstall of Pub 2000 and hope that solves
any problems.

I will let you know.

Kind regards
David

I did know you were working with Pub 2000, but you did not mention that you
switched to Pub 2003 until the end. If you are saying that only the pages
that you created with Pub 2003 now don't work with Pub 2000, then you may
have to rebuild those pages in Pub 2000. It may be that when you switched
back to Pub 2000, and did a Save As Pub 2000 format, that the 2003 pages did
not convert correctly, and the problem you are having with those pages has
nothing to do with your current installation of Pub 2000. As your file size
is getting very large, it might be wise to just create new Pub files to
rebuild the pages that you "corrupted" with Pub 2003. Good luck.

Hello Mary

Last week I posted a message which you replied to thank you, and I have
since had a number of conversations with DavidF.

Briefly, I use Pub 2000 and I lost the ability to see any graphics, jpegs
and gifs, in preview.

The message was ' cannot open graphic on page. Maybe too large a file or
not enough disc space' Neither of which are correct.

You suggested going to a Microsoft help page which listed the actual wording
I was getting. However, after following their suggestions still no change,
I also followed your suggestion about changing the JPEGIMP32.FLT file. Mine
is now dated 30.05.07.

I also did a total re-install of Pub 2000 which has given be back the
ability to see JEPEG's, but not GIF's.

So some result but not 100%. Do you have any more ideas as to why GIF's
are not showing in Publisher. ( I can see any graphic in any other
application, or from the desktop)

Hope you can help
Kind regards
David Balaam (London)

Excuse me for butting in here, but if you managed to get the .jpg files to
preview by renaming JPEGIMP32.FLT to JPEGIMP32.old then do the same with the
gif filter: GIFGIMP32.FLT and see if that helps.
