Query to return row count for each table (from MS Access)

I thought that was argued out years ago, when I used to post here
regularly?

I would rather go against the grain in one place than to combine a solution
that uses cursors, temp tables and dynamic SQL. YMV, obviously. And
whether or not it is supported and/or recommended, I vehemently stand by my
definition of cleaner. Again, YMV. Good for you.
