How did you resolve your Problem? I am also having same problem. Error 1404.
Setup can not deete the registry key |software|Classes|CLSID|{bla bla bla
bla}. Verify that you have sufficient permission to access the registry or
contact your IT department for assistance.
I would be very happy, if you can share what exactly u did to resolve the
problem.
