Reinstallation of Office XP

Hi Steve,

Did you use the Windows Installer Cleanup utility
link in the previous message to remove the registry
listings for Office XP Pro?

If so, what was the error message you're getting when
you run setup from the CD?

=======
Unfortunately, this has not worked. Same problems as before. Everything looks
the same in relation to Add/Remove programs and the CD.

Basically, OfficeXP Pro was installed and then Service Packs. Due to various
error messages that resulted I then tried to uninstall prior to reinstalling.
I have not been able to reinstall due to the listed problems. I think that
the uninstall has left the office installation in an unknown state. Is there
a dedicated tool that systematically manually removes office files and
registry settings that I have seen for other versions of Office on
Microsoft's web site.

Any other suggestions gratefully received. >>

I thought that Ihad carried it out correctly, but obviously I had not. Having
carried it out again, I have now reinstalled Office and updates without a
hitch. Many thanks for your assistance.

Very appreciated. I can now atleast temporarily slow down the pace of grey
hairs appearing.
