You're on Win 2k, right? Open Windows Explorer, Tools > Folder Options

Click the Show Hidden Files and Folders button.

Click the Reset all folders button.

You'll have to go backwards to turn this off, naturally.

Dang parasites ...<sigh> I'd disassesmble the stupid Barbie Doll PC, send
it's MB on a long ocean voyage along with all the nuts and bolts via the
proceline facility, and toss the body parts in the hallway...'cept....they
put it in a cage and it's riveted to my work table. I've ordered a chainsaw,
but, it hasn't been delivered yet.....and my patience is getting real
antsy..
