Setup of Office 2003 - Error 1911

Gerry Hickman

Hi,

I don't see this error documented anywhere on Microsoft. It seems it
does not want to register the web components, but this doesn't make much
sense to me on a new formatted computer, although it would have been
MUCH more sensible to install Office 2003 FIRST, instead of your other
dodgy programs (who knows what they may have done?).

Are you installing from a genuine Office 2003 CD? What does the writing
on the CD say?

Is your XP a genuine retail version, or the Dell restore CD?
