Should I remove the trial Office in Vista on my new computer?

I got a new HP with no Office loaded about 18 months ago and bought the
Office Small Business 2007 UPGRADE software at the same time. I never loaded
it though. Now I have the Trial version of Microsoft Office and am trying to
load the upgrade. My computer is not recognizing the disks as valid. I
tried to go into Microsoft and register my upgrade software but it tells me
the product key is incorrect.

If I uninstall the trial Office from my computer, will I be able to load
from the Upgrade disks?

You need any of the following qualifying products for upgrade:
1) Microsoft Works 6.0-10;
2) Microsoft Works suite 2000-2006 or later;
3) any 2000-2007 Microsoft Office program or suite;
4) any Microsoft Office XP suite BUT NOT Office XP Student and Teacher.

These can be either in a CD form or already installed on your system. I am
sure, you can but MS Worls used versions from Amazon. See this link:

You have to uninstall the Trial & Activation Assistant via add/remove, then
reboot your PC.
However a trial is not a qualifying version for an upgrade, so unless you
find qualifying software you wont be able to install OSB 2007 upgrade
