Suggested Contacts List Did Not Import NK2 Contacts in Outlook 201

So, NK2 cache has been imported into the "Suggestion contacts" folder on
the working machine (MAPI, single profile), but not the home machine
(POP/IMAP, multiple profiles), right?

And your upgrade procedure for two machines is same: uninstall outlook 2007
and install outlook 2010, right?

I'll check on it, and post at here if there's any further update

That is correct. Just to clarify though, I use only one Outlook profile at
both home and work. However, I have multiple POP and IMAP accounts under the
same profile at home.
And your upgrade procedure for two machines is same: uninstall outlook 2007
and install outlook 2010, right? Yes.

James: Thanks for the information. What I'm still confused about thoug
is
why my work computer (Exchange profile) appeared to import my nk
cache,
whereas my home computer did not. From the link, it appears that th
nk2
cache should not have been imported into the suggested contacts list
but my
experience appears to be different for some reason. Is there some sor
of
log I can reference?
There is no log. Did your admin at work do the import? Was every nam
on your autocomplete list added to the Work's suggested contacts

I just upgraded to Outlook 2010. I've read that the NK2 file is no longer
being used and that the Suggested Contacts is instead supposed to be used.

After the upgrade, I noticed that my NK2 file has been renamed to
name.nk2.old. When I start typing names in Outlook, I am getting the same
suggestions that I got before and so everything appears to be working well.
However, I don't see any of my contacts from the NK2 file in the Suggested
Contacts folder.

Also, as a test I sent an email to someone that wasn't in my NK2 file before
and it was successfully added to my Suggested Contacts folder.

My questions are:
1. Why didn't my contacts from the NK2 file correctly import into Suggested
Contacts folder?
2. Where are cached email addresses that I am being presented being stored
and referenced from?

Thanks!
Dear All

I believe that I found a easy paliative solution for this issue.

1 - Open the old NK2 file with the program NK2VIEW.
2 - With the list opened within NK2VIEW let only the colunm of E-Mail showed.
3 - Select the entire colunm and COPY
4 - Open a NEW MESSAGE in the outlook 2010
5 - Paste the list and check names
6 - Done, all mails listed are now in the Suggested Contacts in the Outloo
2010 !
- Is not necessary to send the message.
