Sorry Ron, Don't wish to drag this out forever, but now I know the reason
why my tables always looked so lousy in NS. It's that
style="BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" bordercolor="#111111" which is reinserted
over and over! Having made the changes you suggest and having set the
default is instructed I find that FP2K2 reinserts the damn code still! So I
have to delete these every time I make a change to the tables.

I guess I'll have to look seriously at 2003...
