Hmmm. Was the Windows Installer v3.1 critical update installed
after SP1 was in place?

Just to confirm.

Removing Win 2003 Server SP1 made installing Office 2003 Professional
possible again.

There were no other changes made between a non-possible and a possible
installation.

(Running under Administrator in all cases)
