Upload troubleshooting

Ok.

The first thing I would do is to delete the old index.htm file and the
index_files folder and upload fresh Publisher web files. Who knows what
versions of your files are actually on your host at this point.

If that doesn't fix things, then I would go back and change all your links,
etc to lower case. Double check the navbar links to make sure they are
pointing to the correct page in your site. Click on the navbar > Format >
Navigation bar properties. Select each page link > Modify link and confirm
it is pointed to the correct page....place in this document. Publish to the
web, upload the new files.

David, I did what you said, now my index.htm opens perfectly online, but the
other pages gives you a 404 error. You will see it shows you page no..., but
I saved it as news.htm, achievements.htm, gallery.htm and sponsor.htm. If you
type in the url www.megsracing.com/index_files/news.htm etc, it opens up but
without images, and I did upload the whole index_file folder intact to the
correct directory, megsracing.com under index_files with filezilla. This is a
big mess-up and I dont know what to do, please if you can help me again, I
would really appreciate it! Thanks

Yes, you uploaded the new index_files folder, but you didn't upload the new
index.htm file...your home page. If you follow the link
www.megsracing.com/index_files/news.htm and mouseover the menu, you will see
that the links point to the correct, newly named pages. However, when you go
to http://www.megsracing.com/index.htm and mouseover the links, they show
the old page names Page###.htm. When you make a change in your Pub file, you
should always upload both the new index.htm file and the new index_files
folder.

I did upload the new index.htm file also. Why does the index_files and
index.htm show up in the browser? I read through zillions of posts today, and
really all my files and folders ARE in the correct place. Even in my cpanel,
File Manager, when I click on a photo and view it, it shows perfect and all
the images and graphics are there, remember, it used to work. I repixed all
my pictures using PIXresizer from BlueVoda, is for an example a picture of
105.00kb too big? Must the pictures on my website filename be the same as on
my computer, or can I change it, because I did? And 1 of my pictures in
gallery even moved itself to news.htm as the header???!!! I even cleared
cache. Really what on earth is the problem here, please if anybody out there
can help me resolve this, pls David. I will even give you my password for my
cpanel if you send me your email address!
