visual c++ abnormal prog termination

I read the KB article mentioned below, couldn't access many of word's menus
because I could only start up in Safe Mode. What worked for me was
unistalling Acrobat.

I am having trouble getting this to you. I am having the same problem with
the error and being booted out of word and I can not reccover. Do we have to
upgrade in order to fix this

An update is not useful for problems like this, although you should
make sure you have the latest updates from
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/default.aspx anyway.

www.valos.com doesn't work. Scanning with lavasoft Ad-Aware now. If this
doesn't work I'm deleting outlook and going with anything that doesn't give
me this stupid error message. It shows the incoming mail but won't let me
access them through outlook or as a POP with hotmail.

Thanks for all the possibilities I just wish one of them had worked.

Disabling Microsft Works' Word Add-In, worked for me. Thanks for posting
