"In code view find "<td valign="top" width="24"></td>" and delete it."
That piece of code only appears in the on-line Page Source. It does not appear in FrontPage Code View on my system - I have checked visually and with Edit | Find. Removing it on-line using the Firefox Web Developer toolbar Miscellaneous | Edit HTML facility does indeed allow the photo gallery to move to the left to an acceptable position. But although I clicked Save and overwrote the published gallery.htm file that piece of code had reappeared when I opened the site again.
I have also checked on-line and in FrontPage the code in the four pages that make up the gallery page. They are gallery.htm and the shared borders top.htm, left.htm and bottom.htm. That piece of code does not appear in any of those files. As the table is 24px wide it could be the default cell that Thomas referred to earlier in this thread that he stated could not be removed.
Regrettably I am no further forward.
