Way to go ZF561407. I've been looking for a solution to this problem for two
days. I suspected a reinstall was going to be the only way out.

Thanks again for boldly going.

I just posted a similar problem with the Teacher's edition under XP Home
using a retail M$ CD, so its not just OEM CDs. There are at least 3 other
similar postings, one seemed directed at network installed copies. The
"Installation TroubleShooter" info from M$ was useless as usual. I'll try a
complete reinstall and hope SP1 has all the bug fixes I've downloaded already
this past year.

I found that Dell is using the Enterprise version to run the OEM installs of
the Office 2003 product. So this cab will not exist on most Office CD sets.

If you download and run the msicuu2.exe installer cleanup utility (from
Microsoft), select only the Office product. This eliminates all the regkeys
forjust the Office suite. Then reinstall Office from the packaged CD's.

Takes a little time but eliminates the problem.

Cheers,
