Cannot find ZF561407.CAB

I found that Dell is using the Enterprise version to run the OEM installs of
the Office 2003 product. So this cab will not exist on most Office CD sets.

If you download and run the msicuu2.exe installer cleanup utility (from
Microsoft), select only the Office product. This eliminates all the regkeys
forjust the Office suite. Then reinstall Office from the packaged CD's.

Takes a little time but eliminates the problem.

Cheers,

*I recently tried to install an update at the Microsoft
site. I am using Office Basic Edition 2003. The update
downloaded and then asked for the CD. I got an error
message that it could not find ZF561407.CAB and the
update aborted. I read on the site to download the
fullfile versions which would not ask for the CD.
However, when doing it this way it did ask for the CD and
I received the same error message. I have tried "Setup"
on the original OEM disk and attempted to "Repair" and
received the same message. I also tried to reinstall
with the same message. I'm afraid to uninstall first as
it looks like I would not be able to reinstall.
Everything in the office suite is working, I just can't
update. Any ideas?????

I was also having the same problem with this cab file. No where to be
found even on my hard drive. After a week now of searching, I
switched gears and begun searching FTP engines and I found it!! I now
have it posted/hosted on my site for all. No need to deinstall and
reinstall. It worked like a charm!

Thank you Mr. harryt. After running fine for months, Excel in Office
Pro 2003 demanded a file from the original CD. The suite had been
installed on my new laptop by Gateway and I had the original CDs. The
cab could not be located by the Office 2003 installer on the CD, my
computer or anywhere on our network. I Googled for the file and
downloaded it from Mr. Thompson's website to a USB drive and it didn't
work when browsed to. I found this thread, Mr. thompson's link and
downloaded to temp sub-directory, pointed the installer to it and it
worked!! I am impressed. Thanks again.
