Installation problem - clip art related

I have a laptop running Windows XP with SP2 installed. It has 3 user
accounts: 1 administrator account and 2 limited accounts. I had Office 2000
installed, and today tried to install the Student version of Office 2003. As
suggested during the install, I installed SP2 for Office.

I am now having lots of trouble running the Office programs for the limited
accounts. In particular, when I start up the programs, the computer spends
several minutes "preparing to install." Unclear what's being installed.
Once that ends, and the program starts up, if I select clip art, it goes into
a similar round of clip art installation, except that this seems to go round
and round interminably, with the clip art never being installed. (Note: all
clip art components have been installed on the hard drive.)

Any suggestions?

Sorry for the confusion. It's Office 2003. Office 2000 appears to have
successfully been removed and replaced by Office 2003.

Thank goodness its not just me! I am having the same issues only with an
added twist. having installed Office Student & teacher edition 2003 on both
our home PCs I have the Windows Installer/ Microsoft Office standard edition
2003 window issues + the clip-art (in Powerpoint)+ a problem with
stdole32.tlb (missing/damaged in Excel on Limited accounts) + the same
performance when I start Explorer up to browse the web ONLY ON 1 of the PCs.
The PCs both have identical users accounts, OS, security software and the
same mix of Admin and limited but on one computer the Limited accounts work
fine and on the other the problems are there. In fact I cannot get into
Powerpoint at all getting locked in the clip-art loop. I have reinstalled
with all users as Admin and as soon as I limit the accounts they have the
problems. I have even tried installing Office outside the Program Files
directory and it made no difference.

At present I cannot report this to Microsoft over their support e-mail
system as I always get 'An unknown application error has ocurred - please try
again in a few minutes' I've been trying for the last 2 weeks! Anyone who
solves this issue will save me from constant ear-ache from my children and
will be my hero!
