Thanks for the update, you sound to have had a pretty torrid time of it. In
case it's of any interest both my systems use Zone Alarm Security Suite
although one of them originally came with Norton but I removed it a long
while ago. I will keep plugging away but it sounds like it could be one of
those 'features' that software has that no-one really wants! I am even
trying Dell to find out if there is any reason why my two computers (1 x 8400
and 1x 5100) should show different behaviour when OS, BIOS, Office, IE etc
versions are the same. They will probably blame Office but it is worth a
try....nothing ventured etc.
