Office 2000 SR-1 Premium Installer Error 1706

Hi, vwdrv1,

Yes, the installer is looking for the original installation media.

Since your system was pre-installed by the manufacturer, you'll need to
contact them for support and/or to get an original CD for the installation
(though I understand that the Office 2000 CDs are getting hard to come by,
if they're even available). I'd recommend re-running setup to re-install
the suite. Yes, the CD should be different than the Windows XP CD, and your
original equipment manufacturer should have provided you one.

In the mean time, if you go to the Windows Control Panel, what Office
programs are installed? Do you have Works installed, or Word listed?
