Hi,
Try the following steps.
First of all boot up the machine in Clean Boot disabling possible 3rd
applications. Refer the link below for details.

Then once you are booted onto the Desktop,
(1) Start-> Run-> msiexec /unregister
(2) Start-> Run-> msiexec /regserver
If you dont get any errors, try proceeding with the installation of Office.

the keys and rebooted. once rebooted, i logged in and outlook attempted
restart its installer... 1st time i let it go and then tried office 2007 -
zippo didn't work. rebooted and then cancelled the office 2003 installer
and deleted keys and tried to install office 2007, still errored

and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office
(2) Restart the machine and try installing Office again.
Also, if you become disconnected from your installation point or network
resource, reconnect and try to install Office again.
If you are a mobile user who is using a laptop computer, and the
installation resource is unavailable, you cannot use the Office feature
until
you reconnect to your installation resource.
