Office 2007 "Installation of this package failed"

John S.

JoAnn, I believe we all know there is no actual tech support for beta
software, but dont you think it would be prudent to at least offer a little
asistance rather than a put down to those trying to help find the bugs? I am
having the exact same problem and I am using the beta 2 version of Vista. I
am a 30 year "veteran" working with computers & I could sure use a little
help figuring this one out.

My point was that everyone is forewarned that they are on their own if they
opt to run the beta. If someone in the MS newsgroups can help, great. But
there's no guarantee that anyone can provide any advice.

And my point is that as a representative of Microsoft, you need to remember
that you catch a lot more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. That
kind of condecending remark will help no one. I saw another one of your
"like responses in another thread and the two together tells me you are in
serious need on an attitude adjustment. May I suggest several quarts of Jack
Daniels and an evening with your favorite "significant other"? I think
theres been enough said at this point.
