So, which are you trying to install and why in the world are you trying to
install it to the Windows Directory???

After furious head scratching, Pink asked:

| I received this error after downloading the trial of Ofc 2003. After
| many attempts and a lot of frustration, I see that MS somewhat
| touched on this subject and suggested to use the CleanUp Utility. I
| did that, which erased my previous registry info for Ofc XP, in hopes
| of getting Ofc 2003 to work. Still get the same error. I have moved
| the old version of Ofc (XP) out of the Windows file to see if that
| caused the problem; same error: Fatal Error Occurred.

| From reading Google, it appears that many people are having this
| problem without any assistance or clue as to how to fix it.
