Office 2007 beta 2 Setup Error

I'm still having the same problems. I've done multiple downloads of the
file with no success. I get the same error when I try to install
OneNote or Office. I have Microsoft XP Tablet Edition and Administrator
Rights.

Any ideas?

Well, I can't say anything helpful. However, even though you had your Temp on
a different partition, I would still have expected it to start to install as
that is something easily pointed to by the system settings.
With having administrative rights and installing under that account, I would
expect it to have rights to every needed folder. I'd look to make sure the
files are being expanded in the Temp folder.
When it gives you the error, I assume it is still the Setup cannot find the
files or whatnot.
I'd start looking at log files in computer management and wherever else it
may do it like in the Windows dir perhaps (issue I had with desktop search
3.0 beta).

I moved the installation files to the desktop instead of F: where I'd
downloaded them. When I ran the program again it came back with the
same error, but this time it specified the file missing BRANDING.XML
and gave me the option to ignore the error. Doing so led to a
successful installation.

Maybe this will help somebody - but it seems as if we're all getting
different solutions to this problem. Hopefully somebody cleverer than
me can find a pattern.
